FrostWash™ removes hidden impurities effortlessly

Dust and dirt on the AC surface can be cleaned off easily, but the interior of an AC is much more complex to clean, especially for non-professionals.

Our FrostWash™ technology is developed to simplify this. FrostWash™ technology minimizes the amount of dust, mold and bacteria that build up on the heat exchanging coil inside your AC.
In fact, FrostWash™ can reduce the presence of these impurities inside your unit’s coil by up to 93%[1] 

 

 How does FrostWashTM work?

  • Step 1: FrostWash™ traps the dust and dirt that lands on the heat exchanger by freezing it in the naturally available moisture.
  • Step 2: The frost is then thawed. The dirt captured in the frost detaches from the coil’s surface.
  • Step 3: Similar to regular condensate, the melting frost is flushed hygienically out the unit, carrying the dust, mold and bacteria with it.

Without FrostWash: Did you know that dirt continues to accumulate on the air conditioner’s inside coil over time? Natural humidity is also a breeding ground for mold, bacteria and viruses to grow inside your unit.
With FrostWash: Cleaning goes beyond removing dirt. 99.0% of viruses[2], 99.0% of bacteria[3] and 95% of mold[4] are also eliminated from your AC coil.

When air is circulated through a sanitized coil in your AC, your indoor air quality is preserved.

With FrostWash: Dust and dirt are washed away, helping to maintain your AC’s airflow year after year. In fact, our tests show that ACs with FrostWash are 3× better at maintaining airflow performance than those without this technology[5].

In some countries, innovative variations of FrostWash have been recently introduced:

  • FrostWash for outdoor unit [6] cleans the condensing unit’s heat exchange coil in the same way as the indoor unit’s coil
  • FrostWash Heat+ [7] adds a heating phase prior to freezing, enabling to melt down the oily dirt on the surface of the heat exchange surface
  • FrostWash 2.0[8] dries faster after melting, thanks to slight heating of the heat exchanger, leading to shorter cleaning cycle.

[5] Two identical units were tested for comparison; with and without FrostWash. Test chamber simulated approx. 2 years of dust and oil build up which may be experienced in a typical home environment.
